Aero: An American In Paris – Paris je t’aime

After bidding a fond farewell to Giverny, I have successfully relocated to Montmartre, Paris, where I’ll be renting an apartment for the next few days.  Despite my poor sense of direction and butchered French, I found the Paris metro relatively easy to navigate and there were plenty of people who were willing to help me find my way.

On my first day in the 18th, I met two of my Fondation roommates the Cafe de 2 Moulins- which was featured in the cult film Amélie– and had a lovely lunch there.  Afterwards we hiked up to the unbelievably beautiful Basilique Sacre Coeur, where I managed to catch part of a midday mass.  I’m not a particularly religious person but I must say that this was one of the highlights of my trip.
