1.4 : Benefits to Student Leadership

1.4.1 : Student leadership roles are not paid positions within FLCC eSports. Rather, they are volunteer opportunities supported by the faculty and staff members of Finger Lakes Community College. Team Managers help keep eSports programs running on a day-by-day basis, and takes very talented individuals that can balance rigorous coursework with the many details of eSports program administration.

1.4.2 : Team Managers, Captains, and Team Members will work closely with faculty and staff members and receive skills, training, and responsibilities not available to other students. Students that perform their duties well, and prove their skills in organizational development and management can expect extremely detailed recommendations, referrals, and connections to colleges, universities, and eSports programs across the country.

1.4.3 : Student leadership is a major investment in oneself. While FLCC eSports may not be able to pay for these experiences in cash, we will do everything in our power to make sure that students are as prepared as possible to progress on their path with our support. This includes letters of recommendation, emails, phone calls, conferences, and other opportunities to connect student leadership with the greater eSports community. However, these benefits are only extended to those students who perform their responsibilities well.
