We live in an interesting time when we can travel (almost) anywhere we want in the world, and yet still have access to all of the comforts of home. Case in point, the Apple Store. Just in case you have been living in a cave, Apple – makers of the Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, and many other great and wonderful technological widgets is based in Cupertino, California. The business has gone from the garage, to world-domination in just a few short decades. So, today, we have Apple stores in most major metropolitan cities in the United States. But did you know that Apple’s reach goes much further than the United States. Note the phrase, global domination. There are Apple stores all over the world and in a very creepy sort of way, they’re all the same.

I’ve seen Apple Stores in Costa Rica and Madrid, and the cool glass and stainless steel facade is a familiar sight. Much like a McDonalds cheeseburger, it’s the kind of thing that reminds me that even after days in a plane, I’m still not that far from home.

This article, specifically, is just a “day-in-the-life” kind of view that triggers these kinds of thoughts. This is an Apple Store in Valencia, Spain. But this is no ordinary day… This is “Las Fallas” a particularly rambunctious celebration that takes place all over Valencia and Spain. These videos make me wonder of we could get away with anything like this in our Apple Stores in the United States.

Kudos to the employees for clapping along, too — I used to work in retail, and I know that as fun as it would be to have live music playing, it would make my job of helping customers and securing the store just that much tougher. But they handle it as well as expected, given that the festival is basically a continuous party over the better part of a week. Viva el iPhone! – TUAW.com

I’m adding links to “Las Fallas” so that you can have a greater knowledge of what’s going on here (with the bands, dresses, food, etc!) and I’m also posting the YouTube videos of what happens when you mix Las Fallas and Apple Stores!
