une bouche : mouth

Nous parlons avec la bouche.
We speak with the mouth.

les cheveux (masc.) : hair

Elle a les cheveux roux longs.
She has long red hair.

un cil : eyelash

Je déteste les faux cils!
I hate fake eyelashes!

un corps : body

Il prends soin de son corps.
He takes care of his body.

un cou: neck

J’ai mal au cou.
My neck hurts.

un cuir chevelu : scalp

Le coiffeur masse le cuir chevelu.
The hair stylist massages the scalp.

une dent : tooth

Je me brosse les dents deux fois par jour.
I brush my teeth twice a day.

un front : forehead

Il a une cicatrice sur le front.
He has a scar on his forehead.

une gorge : throat

Mon fils a mal à la gorge.
My son has a sore throat.

une joue : cheek

Elle a les joues rouges.
She has rosy cheeks.

une langue : tongue

Elle a la langue percée.
She has a tongue piercing.

une lèvre : lip

Il a les lèvres enflées.
His lips are swollen.

une mâchoire : jaw

J’ai du mal à la mâchoire.
I have pain in my jaw.

un menton : chin

Le garçon a une fossette au menton.
The boy has a cleft chin.

une narine : nostril

On respire par les narines.
We breathe through our nostrils.

un nez : nose

J’ai le nez qui coule.
I have a runny nose.

un oeil : eye
(NOTE: The plural of “un oeil” is “les yeux” – very irregular!)

Elle a de beaux yeux bleus.
She has beautiful blue eyes.

une oreille : ear

Il a une infection à l’oreille.
He has an ear infection.

une paupière : eyelid

Il a une paupière enflée.
He has a swollen eyelid.

un sourcil : eyebrow

Elle s’épile les sourcils.
She is plucking her eyebrows.

une tête : head

J’ai mal à la tête.
I have a headache. / My head hurts.

un visage : face

Elle a un joli visage.
She has a pretty face.
